Erik Flegal is the Founder and CEO of Fortune Tax Alliance LLC, a subsidiary and affiliate of Family Fortune Financial LLC. With a team of experienced professionals, Fortune Tax Alliance helps clients create “Tax Alpha” by deploying strategies that mitigate ongoing tax drag. The firm has a curated rolodex of collaborative accountants, attorneys, financial advisors and business consultants who help you work towards financial stability, while avoiding overpaying on taxes, hidden fees and commissions.
Prior to founding Family Fortune Financial, Erik had various roles at Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo Private Bank over a ten-year period. His passion for developing collaborative systems and environments spurred him to create an independent company.
Erik is also the founder of Red Carpet Charleston, an invitation only event series that helps new residents professionally and personally integrate into their local community. An active member of the community, Erik is on the leadership council of the National Small Business Association, the nation’s oldest small business advocate advocacy organization. Erik earned an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business and BA in English from UCLA where he was a member of the volleyball team and later a member of the Youth Olympic Volleyball Team that won a gold medal during international competition in Canada. He also served as alma mater as an instructor for UCLA Extension where he taught courses in the Financial Certificate program.
He’s also an amateur magician and a member of the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood, CA. Erik resides in Mount Pleasant, SC with his wife Hollyann, two daughters, Savannah and Annabelle, and two sons, Joshua and Jonathan.
