TUESDAY: The Economics of Sustainability
Once they saw sustainability as a cost center, but organizations are now increasingly thinking of it as an integral part of their corporate strategy. While ESG has been used as a risk framework for shareholders, companies that do not build it into their operating model are at risk of losing clients, suppliers, and employees. As organizations become more accountable to their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, profits and purpose will not be a tradeoff, but rather need to go hand in hand.
