Gil Perez

Gil Perez is the Chief Innovation Officer of Deutsche Bank, responsible for driving Deutsche Bank innovation strategy, and delivering bank wide transformative initiatives at the intersection of banking, technology, and business. Gil manages the bank’s innovation team, Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence, Deutsche Bank GenAI initiatives, technology partnerships, and Deutsche Bank Corporate Venture Capital Group.

Gil joined Deutsche Bank in December 2019. In 2020 Gil led Deutsche Bank transformation to the Public Cloud, whilst establishing a 10-year strategic partnership with Google cloud. Today Deutsche Bank Cloud is a secure, compliant, and mature technology platform running 100+ production applications and hundreds more scheduled to go live in the coming years. In 2021 the Chief Innovation office launched a bank wide AI and ML initiative, leveraging Deutsche Bank strategic cloud service providers: Google Cloud and Microsoft. In 2022 the AI/ML initiative was expanded to include GenAI, LLM. In 2023 the initiative was adopted as a bank wide effort to drive Deutsche Bank to be ‘The leading European ResponsibleAI bank’.

Prior to joining the bank Gil was a Senior Vice President of Products & Innovation at SAP, where he spent eight years working on the digital transformation of corporate clients. Gil has a diverse background as a co-founder, executive at several successful start-ups and as a venture capitalist. Gil is an avid runner and loves to hike.
