About this years event organisers.

Mike Komljenovic. Learning later in life about his love and enjoyment of the water, Mike has become a water sports enthusiast who is enjoying his recreational pursuit and progression of learning surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Mike is a high school physics teacher, and owner of the DELTAFLOW Sports, a company established to sell gear for water-sports, wind-sports, and outdoor activities in general. In the process, he enjoys bringing events like the film festival together and travelling with his two sons and friends to search for wind and waves around the Great Lakes of Ontario.

2021 – 5th year – somehow got lost in the Covid Pandemic

In 2020 – The 4th annual Great Lakes Surf Film Festival was delivered completely online from Monday June 8 to Monday June 15. There was an opening live stream on June 8th with introductions and a closing live stream on June 15th (you can rewatch at the link) with raffles and awards. Event organised by Mike Komljenovic and Mike Austin. Sponsored by Twenty Valley Media, Surf Ontario, and Ausmosis Board Craft.

In 2019 – The 3rd annual Great Lakes Surf Film Festival was held on June 15th, 2019 at the Wharehouse in St. Catharines, Ontario. A special feature presentation and Canadian premier of Brent Storm’s film White Rhino was established as the main event! What a great film and event! Watch the following link for the hype White Rhino Candian Premiere. In addition, there was also a separate premiere of Brent’s film and the festival films in Toronto at Surf Ontario later that year. 2017 – The 1st annual Great Lakes Surf Film Festival was held on June 17, 2017 from 2 to 6 pm at the Lock Street Brewing Company in historic Port Dalhousie. Event organised by Mike Komljenovic and Darryl Austin. Sponsored by Ausmosis Board Craft.
